Donna Lee
Head Varsity Coach
Head Coach Donna Lee is in her 21st year of coaching softball. She begins her 14th year at the helm of Viking Softball with a record of (260 – 100 – 2) and seven straight Foothill League Championships (2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007) and 11 playoff appearances.
The 2007 Valencia Softball team was named National Champions and California State Champions. She and her staff were selected NFCA National Coaching Staff of the Year and they were honored at the NFCA Convention this fall. Donna was also selected as 2007 CIF Division I Coach of the Year and Daily News Coach of the Year. She was selected the L.A. Times Coach of the Year in 2001 and the Daily News Coach of the Year in 1993. Donna has coached the Daily News All-Star teams in 1993, 2001, 2003 and 2007.
One of her unique coaching experiences, occurred in 1992 when she became California’s first female head football coach in a high school program.
Coach Lee is a graduate of San Francisco State University, where she played and earned a B.A. Degree in Kinesiology, and received her Teaching Credential from Cal State Northridge where she was named Outstanding Student-Teacher in 1989.
Outside school, Coach Lee enjoys spending time with her husband Greg of 15 years and two children, Austin 12 and Mason 8. In her spare time, Donna loves to run and go the movies.
