Santa Monica Scrimmage
This year it’s out turn to head out to Santa Monica.
The games will be played at 9:00 and 11:00 A.M.
All girls need to be at VALENCIA HIGH SCHOOL AT 6:45 A.M.

First Ever eCycling Day
A big HUGE thanks to everyone that came out to help and to all those that donated your electronics to our fundraiser. Despite the chilly weather the day was a success due to all the hard work our awesome parents put in.
The turn out was much bigger than we had expected due to some great publicity from the Signal and from KHTS. We ended up filling a truck and still have 6 pallets left that will be picked up next week.
Special thanks to Gerri McCorkle for coordinating such a successful event.
As Donna put it….Our fundraising for 2009 is officially OVER. 
Now time to play ball.

The deadline to reserve a room is Sunday Feb 8th. Please don’t forget otherwise the group rate will not be available to you.
Team Pictures
Team pictures will take place Friday 2/13 at 9am. Girls will have lunch together after the photo session. Location and maps will be given out at practice next week. Parent’s please plan on dropping the girls off and picking them up after lunch.
Lady Vikings Named in Top Stories of 2008 by The Signal
The signal published an insert in the paper today that reviewed the top stories of the year. The Lady Vikings back to back championship was named and some pictures from the CIF game are in there too. If you haven’t seen it, go get your Signal.
In addtion to Valencia softball, the Valencia boys volleyball team was also mentioned as one of 2008’s top stories.
